It’s the Wonderneath! Come and see!

The latest show at the House of Yes in Brooklyn, “The Wonderneath”, is now showing! The early Modern day fairy tale summarizes the journey of Hailey down to the secret underground of New York City in the 1910’s, with wonderful musical numbers and spectacular circus acts.

I’m doing part of the set design for the show, so please come and check it out!

Stefan from Tin Pan blues band playing the “Flame-O’Phone”! What a blast!

The set is designed to facilitate seamless transition between each act, and it worked very well. For instance, the stage previously filled with giant snapdragons in Act 2 is transformed into a backdrop for the soothsayer in Act 3 with the turn of the rotunda.

Wonderful Dremel time.

To build the whole thing, I used a lot of Dremel. Being an unstable wild horse a Dremel is, the shakey lines actually works for the loose style of Art Nouveau. It’s not exactly my style, but I’m pretty happy how it turns out.

Stunning fire act during rehearsal. Of course, there’s more in the actual show. Way more.

No show is complete without a proper “Paybill”.

Get your tickets here for the Wonderneath for only $15, which is absolutely a steal for all the show that you are going to see! It’s only showing this weekend, so please come if you are drop by NYC! :)
